Entries from companies with at least 100 employees. A corporation is defined as an artificial entity created under the laws of the state for the purpose of a commercial merchandising or industrial activity or undertaking; a profession, trade, occupation, calling or employment; an activity providing goods or services. (For example: General Motors, Maytag, Sears, Canadian Pacific, CN Rail)

Business Floats

Entries from companies with no more than 100 employees. A company is defined as a commercial merchandising or industrial activity or undertaking; a profession, trade, occupation, calling or employment; an activity providing goods or services. (For example: U Wanna What Intermedia, Calgary IMAX Theatre, Calgary South Branch of Royal Insurance)

Cultural Floats

Entries from cultural organizations and ethnic groups. Cultural/Ethnic is defined as a group having a common tradition, racial origin, or nationality. (For example: Danish, Korean, Scottish, Irish, Chinese, Ismaili Muslims, etc)

Horse Drawn Floats

Entries that are floats drawn by a team of horses. (For example: Guns of the Golden West, Calgary Board of Education, DB Corp Information Systems, Country Spirit Dance, Fort Calgary)

Municipalities Floats

Entries from Municipalities, Cities, Towns, etc. A municipality is defined as a legally incorporated or duly authorized association of inhabitants of a limited area for local governmental or other public purposes. (For example: Cour d'Alene, City of Kelowna, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo)

Non-Profit Business Floats

Entries from groups that are associations organized for educational, patriotic, civic, professional, commercial, industrial, charitable or benevolent purposes. A non-profit association is defined as a group united together for some special purpose (for a certain or common object).
